The county is located in western Washington just south of the state capital, Olympia. Chehalis is the county seat of Lewis County.

The Court

      Lewis County is part of the Western Washington Bankruptcy Court District with offices and the courts in Seattle and Tacoma. Bankruptcy Hearings are also located in the City of Vancouver at the Federal Building, 500 W. 12th, Second Floor.
